These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of handvetted.com and related services operated by Hand Vetted Co. (“Handvetted,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using our platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our services.
1. Description of Service
Handvetted is a matching platform. We connect people seeking services with verified businesses that have passed our verification process. We also accept applications from businesses seeking to receive exclusive project requests through our platform.
Handvetted does not perform any services itself. We do not provide contracting work, insurance policies, mortgage products, or any other service listed on our platform. We do not employ or control the businesses in our network. We are not a party to any agreement, transaction, or contract between you and a matched business.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years of age to use Handvetted
- You must be located in the United States
- Businesses applying to be listed must hold valid licensing in every state in which they operate
- Lending partners must hold valid NMLS registration where applicable
3. User Accounts and Information
When you submit a project request or business application, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of your information. Submitting false, misleading, or fraudulent information is a violation of these Terms and may result in termination of your access to our platform.
4. How the Matching Service Works
For People Seeking Services
When you submit a project request, we use the information you provide to match you with one verified business. Your information is shared with that one matched business only. If you opt in to explore financing, your information may also be shared with one verified lending partner. We do not share your information with multiple businesses.
For Businesses
Businesses that pass our verification process and are accepted into our network may receive exclusive project requests matched to their service area, categories, and preferences. Businesses pay per lead. There are no monthly retainers, setup fees, or long-term contracts. Businesses may pause or stop receiving leads at any time.
5. Verification Standards
Businesses listed on Handvetted have passed our verification process, which includes licensing confirmation, background checks, rating verification, and human review. However, verification is not a guarantee of quality, performance, or outcome. We verify to a standard, but we cannot guarantee the results of any work, service, or product provided by a matched business.
6. Fees and Payment
For People Seeking Services
Handvetted is free to use. You will never be charged by Handvetted for submitting a project request or receiving a match.
For Businesses
Businesses pay per lead at rates that vary by category, geography, and project scope. Pricing details are provided during the onboarding process. Handvetted reserves the right to adjust pricing with reasonable notice. If a lead does not meet our quality standards, we will replace it at no additional cost.
7. Limitation of Liability
